PR images for Orange Square covering hero products across the brands they represent, explored through the musk fragrances. Each build was dictated by the individual image it was for, so the range is shot as a set of separate places rather than one line-up. A woodland built indoors is the easy version of that idea and the easiest to get wrong. Real bark, moss and fern under studio light look like props on a table unless the air in the set is doing something. So the set was built with depth and hazed. Birch trunks, moss mounds, lichen, ferns and stone on deep olive painted backdrops, with haze drifting through so the light has something to travel in. I kept the key low and dappled and put one defined pool on each bottle, so the product is the brightest thing in a dark place rather than the only lit thing on a table.
