Can Details.

A can with no serve beside it gives you very little to photograph. There is no ice, no pour and no glass, so the pack has to hold the frame on its own. I lit it with a single hard low source and let it throw one defined shadow, which puts an edge back under the can and gives the surface some direction. Condensation beads across the print are then the only texture event in the frame, so they carry it. The can is cropped hard at both ends and runs out of frame on both sides, which makes it read as a detail and a social crop rather than a packshot. The surface is left textured so the light has something to catch as it rakes across.
