Glenfiddich × Aston Martin F1 × Harrods.

These are the press pictures launching an event run by Glenfiddich, Aston Martin Formula One and Harrods, shot in the Harrods helipad rooftop bar. The pictures had to come out of that room, mixing pours and serves from the event itself with the hero bottle on display. On location there is no set to build and no time to make one. You get the counter, the backbar and whatever light the bar already has, and the whisky bar photography has to be made out of that. I used the available space as the set and blended flash with the practical light rather than replacing it. The backbar shelving is thrown out to warm bokeh behind the bottle, and an amber rim along the shoulder separates the dark glass and gold capsule from a dark room, with nosing glasses in support.
