Iced Coffee.
This is a personal series about the blend of liquids, coffee, colour and milk. I wanted to look properly at what a milky coffee actually does, and at how the legs of the coffee appear as it goes. Milk in coffee is over almost immediately. There is a moment where the plume is still a shape, and after that it is a flat beige glass. I shot into that moment and built the rest of the frame to support it. The pour is caught mid-dispersion, blooming through the glass in white plumes, and the ice is sculpted clear and stacked into a peak standing above the rim so the glass has a structure while the liquid moves.

The set is deliberately bright. A soft graduated cream backdrop with one hard-edged cast shadow across it, lit to read as morning rather than moody, plus a companion frame of the pour hitting the ice directly. The same milk pour photography and liquid study runs through the rest of the drinks work, including the Campari Red series. Shot in London by David Lineton. Drinks styling: Lola Faura.
