Schon Tooling.
Schön! wanted a watch story that argued precision as style, not seven separate product shots stitched under one headline. The risk with any multi-brand editorial is that it reads as a catalogue, each watch its own island with nothing holding the set together. I staged every piece on an actual watchmaker's bench: polished steel dishes, dental picks, tweezers, an articulated loupe, so the tools that build precision are what sell it.
The loupe sits genuinely over a dial in several frames, magnifying part of the face in camera rather than in post, and the mirrored steel doubles each watch so the eye reads depth before it reads the brand. The grade stays cool and the grain sits a stop heavier than my usual still life work, which keeps steel reading as steel across Nomos, Rado and Zenith without flattening the warmth in rose gold and tan leather.
