Direct with Sexy Fish. Each drink was given its own reef to sit in rather than a shared backdrop, which makes this the most prop-heavy build in the archive. A build like that works against the glass. Bleached branching coral, rust sea fan, shells, purple sea lettuce and volcanic rock all carry more texture and more edges than a cocktail does, and under flat light the serve simply disappears into them. So the glass is raised on a plinth hidden inside the structure and lit soft and directional, separate from the set around it. The grounds go deep and saturated, navy, burgundy, green and purple, which holds the reef together as one mass behind rather than as competing detail.
