Lulu Guinness, Dating Agency.

Another Valentine's campaign for Lulu Guinness, this one built around a dating agency. The idea was matching, a handbag paired with another handbag or with a person, on the basis that the bags have a persona and spread joy. A 1970s office vibe, a bit Mad Men but not quite. This is the only one of these projects shot as a scene from a film, and a scene stops working the moment the product is lit separately from the room. Hero-light a bag in a dressed office and you have two pictures fighting in one frame. I lit the room and let the bags live in it. A warm tungsten key with hard venetian blind stripes raking across the wallpaper and the furniture, graded deep amber, and the bags placed where somebody would actually have put them down.
