Lulu Guinness, Frames.

The brief was to celebrate the bags as art. Lulu Guinness designs are genuinely interesting objects, so rather than styling around them we gave each one a frame and let it hang like a picture. A gilt frame is a loud prop. Put one around a designer bag, back it with layered fabric, and the frame becomes the subject while the product turns into decoration inside it. So the frames stayed empty and were used as apertures, not surrounds. Each bag sits inside or just in front of the opening, close enough to read as hung, forward enough to keep its own volume. Behind them I built a curtained salon of draped chiffon and satin, graduated through peach, apricot, olive and dusty rose so every bag has a tone a step away from itself to separate against.
